Regional Councillor for Tourism Claudio Mancini introduces the new campaignREGIONAL COUNCILLOR FOR TOURISM CLAUDIO MANCINI INTRODUCES THE NEW CAMPAIGN 2nd APRIL 2009 The campaign "Tutto il Lazio è paese" takes off with proposing short advertisement in the subways of Rome from 6th April. Regional Councillor introduced the second edition of the campaign today for Tourism, Claudio Mancini, and by the President of ATLazio, the Region of Lazio and the City of Rome Tourist Board, Federica Alatri. The campaign involves in 378 municipalities and Town Halls in Region Lazio budgeting 750,000 euro to set the campaign up. It counts on 350.000 brochure to be distributed free of charge every two months with newspapers and magazines. Furthermore, 5.000 posters will be displayed in municipalities and Town Halls of Region of Lazio -400 advertising spaces in Rome- on promotional cuts broadcasted on the Regional TV News and on www.laziofeste.it. a dedicated portal fully furbished with information on events. "In this way -explains Mancini- local events of reasonable magnitude have the opportunity to be advertised in Region Lazio and Rome, hence promoting the tourism sector as well as the events". Here it is then, the Festival of the Artichokes, the Festival of the Chestnuts, and the various reconstructions of the Passion of Christ in Easter time. "Thanks to advertisement the events were more accessible to the public, -stresses Federica Alatri- “from October 2008 to date, the website has had 30.000 hits". The brochures are updated and distributed every two months and the event calendar is continually updated. “Since the beginning of this form of advertising” -recalled Mancini- “we have registered more attendances and we are counting to make this activity durable to involve the neighbourhood Regions for year 2010".
